images from the performance: this shot is just after the considerable weight blew one of the pulley brackets straight out of the wall. At this point the audience took control and worked together to figure out how to keep 15 steel and wood chairs off the ground while I continued to crawl around underneath them attaching safety lights as if nothing had happened. Responsibility for my safety and the decision about what to do about that is fully transferred to the people holding the rope.
